About this space
Escape with family or a few friends to our private cabin on a hill. In the middle of the Pond Mountain Wilderness, Folklore Hill is the perfect getaway for those looking to relax & unwind while enjoying the peace & quiet of nature. Spend the evening sharing stories around the campfire or take a soak in the hot tub. The cabin is just a scenic drive from Watauga Lake, Elizabethton, TN, & Boone, NC. We’d love to host you as you discover what northeast TN and western NC has to offer.
The space
Folklore Hill has a steep gravel driveway with plenty of parking for 1-4 cars. With a large front porch, small back porch with grill, hot tub deck, and fire pit area, there’s plenty of room to enjoy the woodsy outdoors.
Inside, you’ll find a large great room, complete with living room seating, dining room table, full kitchen, and small bar. Down the hallway are two bedrooms and one full bathroom. The primary bedroom has a queen bed. The secondary bedroom across the hall has a full on bottom, twin on top bunk bed. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo plus a washer and dryer.
For entertainment, there is a 55 inch Roku HDTV with a collection of over 300 top blockbuster movies, music concerts, and musicals from the past 50+ years.
Guest access
You will have full access to the property (840 sqft cabin and 0.64 acre lot) except for a locked housekeeping closet inside and a couple of storage closets outside. Make yourselves at home.
Other things to note
There is a Ring doorbell installed on the exterior of the front and back entrances. Ring doorbells record both sound and video with the presence of any motion. We do not have any recording devices anywhere on the inside of the cabin.
